WTF is up with snowdays?

Ok, Somebody tell me what snowdays are all about.
Basicly if it has been snowing the night before, you don't need to got to school?

It's been snowing all night and all morning there's about 8 inches of snow on the road, but i still have to go to school!:(

i think it depends on where you live, here where i live i think there needs to be like 5 feet of snow it fucking rediculous

were not gonna get many more snowdays...mostly delays cause we have already used up our 3 snowdays

and of corse that 5 feet is impossible i dont think our moutian usually gets 5 feet of snow for a base even

well my school is a public school, but i guess it is also a "school of exelence", i guess it's like the best in the state, and they try to maintain that status so they do watever they can to keep the schools open, we just got 2 feet in one night and they still made school, i uess a couple of buses were like 15 minutes late to schol and one or two broke down... stupid school

i hope we don't get another snowday. if we get one more, that means to make up for it at the end of the year we have to come back on a monday, which would piss me off soo much.
