Why people buys expansive poles like Armadas

Ok there's my question
Why the fuck do peoples buy poles that cost 100$ can someone explain me with another reason that they are stupid or rich. Cmon you buy a pair of these poles you bail and it's finish they are dead...

more durable, and don't kink as easily if they bend. I personally don't like to spend that much on poles, but to each his own

i buy poles for 5 dollars i go through a pair a year and they are neon pink and green and look way better then armadas, ive always wondered why people would buy things like that, like ya its great anthony borownski started joystick but its a little expensive, but thats his style

I actually had this discussion with a Scott Rep today at work. Basically, better grips make a HUGE difference in comfort, and if you're making solid pole plants, you don't want any flex at all, and the highest grade aluminum (#4) used in 80-100 dollar poles are half as light as #3 and 3/4 times as strong (that keeps going down to #1).

get nice grips from a broken pair of poles in the pole box at your hill. then just keep putting those grips on light kiddy poles from the pole box and use duct tape so the grips fit.

i brake alot of poles in a year so my rental shop kindly sponsors me and my buddy wether they know it our not, im already on my 3 pair and i havent been urban yet cuz i just got back from bc

Why buy a super fat powder ski for big mountain? I mean, your skinny park ski would work, wouldn't it?

You CAN use a skinny ski in powder and have be tired from working your skis so much, or you CAN buy another ski specific for powder and have an easy and enjoyable time skiing.

If you CAN, why wouldn't you?

hey anyone who breaks there poles go to the rental shop at your mountain and ask to borrow poles and dont return them or go to lost and found and say that you lost a pair of scot poles that are sliver and got some black and a tad of white fuck 100$ poles

All you peps bitching about breaking rental poles good for you.. Thats still stealing... I'm 190# and ski hard.. I'm super tough on my equiptment and have never broke a set of JOYSTICKS or ARMADAS...

same thing when SMITH made poles.. bent the shitload out of them, but never broke them.. still was able to use them

if you break an ARMADA pole you and just order a new shaft.. thats alot easier and cheaper than to buy a new set...

Dude.. just get a dad who has 5 bagillion poles in his garage, sure most are shitty poles, and reletively heavy, but fuck man.. who gives a flying fuck. youll get stronger maybe... think of it that way.

and if they are a seriously gay color, just paint them. make them look hella dope or some shit.

I have some that would match the Line Invaders so well, went down and painted them black white checker with a pink square here and there.

scott camo aircraft aluminum poles. only 40bucks and are the same material as their race poles and light as hell. they also have thicker walls laterally so they doing flex out on you.

I have Leki slaloms for 7 years now, and they have been throu hell, but its barely noticeable. I scraped together 100$ and got them, i think theyll manage at least a few seasons more, if someone doesnt steal them.

you get what you pay for. Sure you can buy "cheap" poles for like 20 bucks and break like 2 pairs a month. Add that up over a whole season bud.

I bought Scott Firewalls like 2 seasons ago and they dont have one bend in them. 100% worth the investment.

when you buy a pole...you're mainly paying for the quality grip...that's why price can very so much. it doesn't matter what it's made of I've had the same pair of scotts for 4 seasons

I think it's so not worth buying them. I don't think that these ski poles have that much influence on your skiing for that price. And for the graphics there are enough poles that look awesome!!

with some of the more expensive poles you get a lifetime warrenty on them as well..so even if you break them you get a new pair for free...pays itself off over time. i got sick and tired of breaking poles so i bought some good ones, and if you get a new pair free IF you manage to break them..why not?

my shop owner gives me poles for free. Ther really crap and bent like hell but it doesn't matter. I "candy-caned" them with pink and black tape and it looks doper then spray-paint

i wouldnt pay for expensive poles...i just got a new pair of poles for 20 dollars and thats the most ive ever spent on poles..and they are real light...they got a little bend already..but it doenst make a difference...and if they do bend just bend them back...i think for most people on ns a bend or something wont affect their carving..bueacse in the park who actually pole plants THAT much and outside the park..although nescesary...it doesnt make that big of a difference

acutally, i bought armada poles cuase they were the cheapest good poles i could find.. my joysticks got jacked and so i was on a pole-stealing rampage and those kept getting stolen so i said "fuck it" and bought some black armadas so they dont stand out and they're pretty durable

I have crapy $10 poles, and they are fine. I have them for 2 seasons now.

And if the graphics are gay, just tape the poles with colored electrical tape like I did... It looks good and makes them more resistant to cold
