Global Warming, Think of the Penguins!

For Serious! If you still wanna be able to rip that white turf we call snow you better start helping out the environment! I mean alot of us are getting the affects of global warming. The only reason im not thigh deep in snow as of right now is because temperatures have been redonkulusly high! Im starting to think "what will the penguins do when their beloved snow has disapeared because God forgot to put on his anti persperant deoderant and his sweaty bo is taking all of there snow. So dont use styrofoam cups and when that woman passes you your latte capacinno at Dunkin donuts in a foam plasic form tell her " if you dont want cancer up the wazoo, you'll get enviroment safe cups!"

its been raining for like 3 days in a week here....in middle of january where it's not rare that temperatures go below the -20s

how dare we have this ego saying that we are so very very powerful.

FAST FACT it was 15 degrees celcius in Toronto today in 1915 (hmmm dont think that would be the massive use of cars then)

bullshit. every scientist peer-reviewed study on global warming points directly at humans and our carbon emissions. The only ones that have not, are those that have been reviewed and written by people in cahoots with, or directly related to major oil corporations (exxon mobile).
Even BP (british petroleum) has recognized this fact and is working toward alternative solutions. We are powerful. We destroy at will. Anything.
Glaciers are melting faster now than any other time, ice caps are diminishing, and that pretty snow cap on mt. kilimanjaro will be gone in 20 years at this rate. All of these have a very coincidental relation to the amount of greenhouse gases produced by humans.
This is serious. Its effects are beginning NOW. dont blow it off. study it.
Everyone should read "Boiling Point" by Ross Gelbspan. ^especially you.

i did a research paper on global warming, and i read one artical that said that in the middle ages, there was a small ice age, where temps were really alot colder, and more days were below average, and they think that now we are starting to come out of that so the temps are actually getting beck to normal

the earth goes through trends. Ice ages come then it heats up and they go. For example the earth's magnetic poles are changing in a couple of thousand years north will be south and south north. We are currently in a warming trend and it sucks for all of us who ski

It is serious guys, global warming isn't just one event, its a more frenquent high temperature days. In 1915, did they have 2 storms that lasted 3 days each? For the past 3 years now, the weather is getting warmer and shittier every year.
Whatever the cause, we still got to think about the future.We have just started our role in society.Soon, the have to make the human race live on. So, now we have to think about the condition OUR kids are going to be face at our age now. Our parents and our grand parent's generation fuck it up enough.Now its our turn to reverse the situation and made the environment better, nomatter the cost!

i watched this thing in science last year taht showed a bunch of penguines falling in crevasses taht were formed from warm temperatures and they all died...it kinda sucked

I read somewhere that styrofoam cups were easier to recycle than paper cups... so... just start recycling cups instead of throwing them away, and we'll all be set

Seriously, I know everyone's mad because there is no snow. I am pissed too, but you guys seriously need to realize that global warming is NOT what you think it is. Mayeb you should read the other like 25 threads on this subject. It is PART of the earth cycle. For you guys in New England...we already have more than average snowfall this year. It's just bad luck the rainstorms came at the wrong time. Humans aren't causing the world to turn into an oven. The penguin will be fine.

nah but seriously instead of thinking like 'its not our fault, its the earth's fault', we could at least recycle or do things that are good for the environment (sp?) so like our kids wont have a huge problem taht we helped to create...cause because of us, earth will have problems...okay maybe its a natural cycle, but were fastforwarding it....like x4 maybe x8...think what you want, but at least try to support a little greenpeace.....
