its a game... battle field 2... and its 1.9 gigs so it wont fit on a cd. so should I just winrar it and run it off my harddrive? or should I burn it to DVD. And does it make sense to have a game in .iso format?
burn it to a dvd. make sure you use "burn image to disc" or "burn iso" function in whatever program you're using. you can't burn it as a regular data dvd. an alternative would be to use daemon tools.
I jsut realized I dont have any blank dvds.. so should I jsut run it off my harddrive. Will that still work if I open it with winrar, instead of burning onto a dvd? from the research ive done it seems like .iso is the coding thats on a cd, so it needs a cd to work. But im not sure
use daemon tools. it creates a virtual cd/dvd drive so you can run the iso file (which is a 1:1 image of the disc) straight off your harddrive without having to extract it with winrar.
depending on what it is. if you want to just play it, use that daemon thing ^there. if its a dvdfile or a videogame (ps2 games come like this if i remember), then you can use dvd decryptor to burn it.
Use daemon tools. And downloading battlefield was a waste because you can't play online without a valid CD key. And trust me, I downloaded it too, the cracked servers suck.
