Salomon Bindings and sling shotting!

I have a pair of Salomon 912's a pair of pilot 810's and some other 810's. I ride X Wave 8 modified boots, and take a look at ur heelcup. Where the top of ur heel piece on ur boot is suppose to meet the heelcup of the salomon bindings it doesn't. It only sits on two points on the outside of heelcup itself, therefore allowing ur skis to pre-release when spinnin' and then you slingshot them off! anyone else have this trouble? look at ur bindings and tell me if they are the same.

I have 810ti's and the heel piece is snug all the way around my boot when stepped in. Almost sounds like your bindings were mounted for a larger boot, doesn't sound too safe.

I have the 914s and they fit perfect with my salomon boots and I've only ever had the ocaisional pre release. Sounds like something aint right.

A lot of people swear by them but I have had so many problems with soloman bindings that I gave up on them.

i have s8 pilot ti, and the back is on a spring, and when i wass on rails theyd pop off, all i did was move the heel piece up (theres a little lever on the back u push up with a flathead and the binding slides) and it worked fine after that

I had the s810s (now theyre at salomon for warrenty). They were probably half defective/half really shitty bindings, I mean they prereleased when I make harder turns. They also fell victim to the slingshot effect. I hate those things and will never buy salomon bindings again, my looks have performed extremely well.

I hate it when people moan how a company's bindings suck when they've only used the shittest ones. The 810's are like salomon's second shittest binding of course a cheap binding is going to pre release it was never designed for hard riding and jibbing.
