I just bought a used pair of skiis. Everything about them is good except the previous owner got a little creative with a marker. They are scratch bc's, and most of the writing is just on the sides. I respect the work, but its just not my style. Its not a big deal, but if anyone has any suggestions on how to take it off without ruining the skiis, it would be appriciated. Thanks
Ronson Lighter Fluid (should be available at your grocery store). If that doesn't work, try a product called "Goof Off" (should be available at your local hardware store or Home Depot), but beware, Goof Off may also take off the existing finish of your skis.
if its handstyles/graffiti, and it is half decent, chances are the kid used a hard to "buff" type marker, try some buff chemicals, might wreck your ski tho.
It's gotta be some kinda of permanat stuff since I tried scubbing them with water and stuff. The guy that sold them to me runs the repair shop so he mighta made some type of extra coating with some of the crazy shit they have in the repair room. Thanks for your help.
