They can reach speeds up to 130 km/h (I think thats about 73 mp/h)
The fastest recorded speed on skis is 250 km/h

I was going 100.1km/h two seasons ago on my scratch fs's and it was sketch. I dont race or anything like this but my dad's friend brought up his gps and I used that to see how fast I could go. The run after the 100k one I was trying to be that speed but I caught an edge going 96km/h, that was not fun.

shit lol, thats sooo fast.... but today me and my friends were snowmobiling becasue our hills closed. and my friend was towing me behind his sled and he was all like "so you want me to give er'." and was just like "sure" thinking he meant like 60km's or so..... but no, he ended up going 100km's with me holding on to a rope behind him lol. The weird thing is i didn't really have a good sense of speed going behind him beacause i took off my goggles because it was dark out. So all the snow was hitting me in the face and i couldn't see shit... but anyways, it was hectic and kind of dumb.

^60mph = 100 km/h
and I've been going a little over 100 km/h on my Skogen pro models, and that was the sketchiest thing i've ever done

thanks
the fastes ive gone is probably 50-60. at speeds like that going over roller is crazy you either just like hover a few inches off the ground, or you just like unweight and get all weird at the top and when you get to the bottom of the transition you compress so much if you arent ready for it.

in races they get at something like 150 km/h.
the world record with special bindings, boots, and minimum wind resistance clothes is around 240 km/h. its fucking insane, there are just a few spots in the whole world, where there is a steep and long enough slope for those. almost vertical shvt and if they crash they have the whole skin burnt and alot bones broken or they die.

before you think about speed... for world cup or europa cup or some such... remember that they race on injected snow.

I think the current world speed record is 220km/h. but that is on a special hill with a big fiberglass helmet/shield on. (allmost like on a race bike)

At GS they reach speeds at around 80kmh, as for DH and SuperG they are clocked at around 130 to 140 kmh

we have a little speed-check thing on my park, but the inrun isnt that steep, riding 75 km/h switch (of course not attempting a kicker that fast), and something like 85 forward, mor isnt possible on that one. but i am pretty sure that i am easily riding something like 110 km/h on my ar5s when we get down to the valley, and it isnt that sketchy.
and ive said before, that the racers get at something like 140, but i heard in the meantime, that they get at 150 or so

I took a gps out one day and i was cruising around at 40mph+. I was also seeing how fast i could get it and got up to 75mph. You ski a lot faster than you think you are
doing.

look at it this way. some of them ride as fast as Tanner Hall did when he hit chads SWITCH (prove that freestyle is waaaay more tech than racing)

The fastest that world cup downhillers go is around 98 mph in the wengen downhill. Daron won this downhill this week which is sick.
