Chunks of my edge missing!

A big chunk of my edge feel off my edge of my ski today when I was doing this 55 foot 1 inch rail. ahh, does anyone know about warrenty, they are salomon 1080's, but does this happen to other people? Harvey if I send u a pic will you post it for me?

dont count on getting it replaced. i pulled edges on two different brands of skis this year and it isn't covered.

Im pretty sure they dont warrenty that stuff, but you might as well take it to a shop and try to get it warrentied. You can get it fixed for about $70, but it will likely rip out again if you ever do another rail. Im pretty sure you can ski it fine with that chunk out as well, just make sure that the edges arent hanging off, rather trim it so its not likely to cause drag and further damage.

yah.. i had to 'trim' my egde on my volkls because when i turned it dug into the snow. i was told two part apoxy is good to put where the edge used to be. i just never got around to tryin it.

edges suck. they fall off all the time, and they don't warantee it, and they can't really fix it. the best thing you can do is keep it from spreading and having the rest of your edge fall off, cuz once it starts, the whole thing will be likely to go.
sooo cut the edge off at a part where it is still attatched to the ski (hack saw works good, but the metal is really hard) then hamer the last 1/4 inch into the ski... use like a screw driver to push on it. and yea just bend it in so that it isn't gona catch on stuff. you can take it into a shop, and instead of replacing the edge, try and get the remaining edge screwed in place. yep. good luck.
