i dont know if any of you have read this but i picked it up off of skiers journal.
Williston, VT—In response to the outstanding performances of its newschool team last season, Dynastar has stepped it up again with the introduction of its newest twin board, the Trouble Maker. A completely new design and mind-blowing graphics help hail the Trouble Maker as “the ski to take buttering to the new millennium.” (Dave Crichton). What do you get when you give one of the best pro teams around the freedom to design its own ski? The answer is the Trouble Maker.
The Trouble Maker uses Dynastar’s latest and most progressive technology called the Spring Blade Concept: a step down in the ski’s structure, which mimics a leaf spring on a truck. The spring acts as a suspension for the ski, and allows the skier to develop more energy for popping jumps, while cushioning the landing. SBC also gives the Trouble Maker a unique flex pattern that maximizes versatility and forgiveness. The entire core is wrapped in a torsion box that makes the ski very strong, and torsionally rigid.
The shovel on the Trouble Maker measures in at 112mm, with a 78mm waist for versatility and a 102mm high-energy tail. It will come in 155, 165 and 175 lengths. The Trouble Maker features an entirely new tip shape and a new tail with more lift (37mm rise) for optimum switch performance. Along with all of the tech features of the Trouble Maker, watch out for the paint job, this ski’s graphic actually changes color from dark green to midnight blue.
In keeping with Dynastar’s commitment to a rider driven program, Dynastar athletes were on hand testing the Trouble Maker during the summer and fall. It got great rider feed back, and at a media event this fall the Freeskier staff called the Trouble Maker the, “ski we all want to ski on.” The pro-team reports that the Trouble Maker is more stable, more flexible, and delivers more pop than the previous, much acclaimed Dynastar twin board, the Concept. With its wider width, it’s the perfect mix of the Little Big Fat (Dynastar’s back country twin) and the Concept. This ski will revolutionize the industry as ski companies start to see what is possible in a twin tip. Now is the time of the Trouble Maker.
The Trouble Maker will be introduced to the world on the feet of Dynastar’s pro team beginning with the X Games Qualifier at Breckenridge this month. Subsequent Trouble Maker sightings will include: X Games, US Freeskiing Open, Freeskier Pro Jams, Freeze Parkasuarus, and the Trouble Maker Jam set for March 15 in Vail.
