Snowfall warning for
Labrador City and Wabush continued
Total snowfall amounts of up to 120 centimetres are forecast by Monday evening.
A warm front will remain nearly stationary over Labrador today and Monday. The warm front will be situated south of Groswater bay today and remain there on Monday.
An extended period of freezing rain as well as ice pellets is forecast to continue along the warm front through tonight.
North of the warm front snow..At times heavy..Is forecast to affect central and western Labrador today and continue on Monday. Additional snowfall amounts of 50 to 80 centimetres by Monday evening are forecast. Total storm accumulations of up to 120 centimetres locally are possible.
Along the coast snow and blowing snow in strong winds will produce blizzard conditions north of Groswater bay and in Nain to Hopedale today and Monday.
Should the position of the warm front track further north or south than the current forecast position places it current warnings may have to be updated to reflect this.
