^bahah. if you dont know what youre doing, cs or cs2 arent the easiest to use. and judging by your question, you dont. be prepared, it isnt easy. it takes a long time to learn.

its not called a photoshop, thats the name of one of the many programs that do image edditing,

i would say photoshop elements

Yeah if you buy Photoshop Elements you get an instruction manual that helps a lot if you don't know what you're doing.

ya I started off using Fireworks becuase its what came with my computer and I was able to teach myself how to use it

well you have to learn photoshop sooner or later so why not sooner.
download photoshop cs from limewire or something then search up on tutorials on google.

i think elements would be good to start because thats the noob version. then step it up to 6.0 or go right to cs or cs2

If you just need something to edit photos, not specifically photoshop, gimp is a pretty good program. It can do about anything that most people can do in photoshop

^ yeah gimp is sweet. i've used all the newest photoshop and macromedia software but gimp is still the best. fireworks is awesome for vecter image stuff and photoshop is easier for bitmaps but gimp can do anyhting as long as you or a friend can make it
