Don't use pop rivets, that will look ugly. Use double sided rivets, similar to what K2 uses.

K2 makes skis with rivits that look like bullet casings, stars and studs. They're still rivets.

Try getting a skate shop to rivet your skis with skate rivets. I did that with my friend's old GS skis and they're pretty pimp.
BTW, I'm talking about using the beefy rivets, the ones that are copper and are secured with a washer.
