To The Kid Who Pulled the Topsheet Off Hit Invaders
lol, it turned out fine because i kept bitching at the store, and they allowed me to return them. i got a pair of 04 scratch fs's instead now with a rossi titanium binding. i just finished spraypainting one of my skis black and i have to say it looks phat as hell dude. im going to post some pics tomorrow when i finish.
but about the invaders, i miss how soft they were. the rossi's aren't nearly as soft so it's a bit harder to ollie and do jib turns and stuff, but they're still a really dope ski. they ride nicer and land nicer. really solid, but still semi soft. go ahead and peel your topsheet off if you want. youll have to remove your bindings. it's not easy, but dont give up, and when you get it all off, go in the corner with a little knife and like push it up the side with the tip of the knife to get rid of all the extra topsheet. for some reason it stays glued to the side a lot stronger. i miss my invades and am thinking of getting a pair next year if they stay soft as they are and if they fix the topsheet thing. that or im looking for an old pair of fujatives. lemme know how it works out.
meh, I just wanted to know if it was fine to pull peices off. I don't know if it's fine or not with this whole process it's going through, and LINE still hasnt email me back...
why would you go outta your way to purposely do that to a ski. its not like its hurting it being on there..... and who cares how it looks. and taking the bindings off, and then putting them back in isn't that good of an idea.
its fine...it doesnt affect the durability at all...my friends top sheet is completely fine after
1. pulling it off
2. skiing it for a month with it off
epoxy will just chip off after awhile, at least mine did. i dont think the topsheet peeling off affects performance tho, just cut off the part thats peeling off
just cut it and dont worry about it. if you pull it off more it will get worse kus ur skis will get damaged more. at least if theres something there they will take a wile to get through the clear stuff. so just cut it off at the bottom of where its pealing and then epoxy a line along it. and it should be fine theres alot of fiberglass under the graphics like 1-3 mm so it will be fine if you skuff it up a bit
they havent fuckin emailed me back either, and its been over a week and a half. im mad but i dont feel like callin them.. even tho i love my invaders (look at mythreads) i really dont feel like having to warrenty them every few weeks, so im thinkin about upgradin to the chrons maybe.. anyone else have the chrons, and how are they?
I want to do the same thing. My tail is coming apart and I sent an email to line a couple weeks ago about it and I'm gonna wait a couple more days then send them another email or just call them. But yeah I want to get the chronic wides if they warranty my invaders.
