I think a thread comes up every year asking how it is, so here it is. Does anyone ski there? Does their park have anything to it, big hits? Let me know what the word is, if you know.
okay theyve got two parks, like a easy park and a harder park.
the easy park has a 25ft flat rail, a 20 foot wide box, a rainbow box, rainbow rail, Aframe box, a mailbox, and a really short flat box at the end. The other park has a banked c rail, an s rail, an aframe rail, a trap rail, two huge booters, and a pretty nice table top at the very end.
and this fly cliff that they closed off because of us at the top of the easy park lift if you take it all the way to the top, not get off halfway.
haha, i was about to drop when that ski patroler yelled at us...that thing was scary since i have 2 shin bangs and that landing was terrible, and also parts of it were PURE ice...lol Props Emmit (sp) for doing it tho.
i was just there tonite. the harder park is actually pretty decent. All the rails are nice and the table top at the end was in great shape. huge upgrade from having possibly the worst park of all-time last year.
going up in 2 weeks, how is it looking? are there any more cliffs than the ones that are up on the top of the mtn by i think blitzen? how often is that chair open, cause its usually closed when i go.
Last year was the last time i was there. I got carded almost everywhere, but i always get carded. Only went to a couple bars but they seemed to be stuck in the 70's
I'm not gonna lie, if you want to waste 50 on a lift ticket, go to granite, they have a few good rails, but the jumps are not poppy, and not fun. Granted the hill is 100 times better then last year, but if you want a park hit up the south and go to cascade or tyrol.
i waas just up there for the last few days and id say the parks was decent.
beginner pa
little step down with two take offs, prolly aboput 5 feet and 15 feet. next was either a 40 foot box about 3-4 feet high or a huge 1/4 pipe spanning the width of the run. the pipe had a box up above the liup that was fun but other than that the pipe was shitty, it needed to be cut. aftrer that was either a 40 footer flat rail or a 20 foot box. after that was an a frame box that was really steep, a rainbow box, then a rainbow rail, and a little flat bar.
Advanced park
started with a nice crail that was smooth, then a HUGE aframe follwed on the right. after that was either a 15-20 foot step down that had a little pop, but dropped a lot. next to that was a 20x20 flat down. that big hit was a dual take off 20 and 45ish feet stepdown. this jump especially the bigger one were really nice, they had good pop and decent landings. after that was either a 20 foot table nice sttep landing so you could fly far as well lots of pop too.
if you didnt want to hit the last jump you could hit a srail that was fun cause it was only like 1.5 feet off the ground so it wasnt intimidating, after that there was a little battleshit rail that was about 2.5 feet high.
I'll be there this weekend riding with a bunch of snowboarders. If anyone wants to come ride with me and save me from the boarders my numbers 630 484 7658
