Are Your Scratch's Falling Apart?

I've had mine for about a month and i've noticed that the top sheet is comming off at the edges. By comming off I mean the sheet is flaking off, revealing the fiberglass layer below it. This is happening on all the edges, and it can't be from rails cause I have only ridden rails on them for a single day and when you slide your top sheet dosn't touch the rail. Has this happened to everybody else?

which model scratch is it? is it a glossy topsheet or a rubbery topsheet. If your not happy, just go to any rossi dealer and have them send them back. rossi is pretty good about warrenty as long as they dont look to beat up.

ya i have had the same problem. I also have like 8 big pressure cracks that look like there going to snap my ski at the tip. Even though there falling apart i still think there the best twin i have ever ridden. I talked to the store i bought them at and they said to beat the shit out of them untill the end of the year and then send them in soo that they look really shitty and i will get next years model.

yeah the same is happening to my madtrix but its just from doing mutes and other crosses. the edge bangs the other ski and takes some of it off

YES the sme thing is happening with mine, I have the rubbery topsheet, and it's falling to bits. The skis rock tho, so I'll just beat the living shit out of em and see what happens at the end of the year.

Don't worry about it, rossi has an excellent warranty.

yeah i just used a ton of epoxy to seal up topsheet damage that i have gotten all along the edges after about 15 days of riding so far. The best thing to do when you notice it start to flake is break off the loose part so it dosnt peel

my FS's are falling apart as well..after 5 days of skiing it looks like I dropped them off a building and they got hit by a truck...I also have the pressure crack at the tip, which is sketchy and looks like my tip is going to rip off...but the ski is nice
The rossi rep told me that there is no change in the graphic for next year.

I think they call them scratches because they scratch easily on the top. Or atleast mine do. But i guess that makes my 'mark' on my skis.

A friend of mine also just ripped a heel piece out of his scratches. kinda wierd, you'd think the binding would release before that.

nope, have 1 chip on the edge of the topsheet, but these things are almost indestructible.

I think the scratch name came from the DJ term 'scratching' as in records etc. ....just a guess.
