Lacrosse practice disorientation

there were these sprint lines. i decided to be cool and run with the top line, which means faster. right after, the nachos i had like a 1/2 hr before at dinner came back up to say "hey dude, not so fast next time you just ate". so after i lost it i was kinda disoritented, lightheaded, and had blurred vision. coach was like "are you ok." i was like umm im disorinteed but im not stopping. so i did the crunches and shit and then durning them i had to get up to get water becasue i was really disoriented. so he came over and was like "whats up are you blurry" im like "yeah im blurry my vision this has never happened" hes like "sit out the rest". im like..dude no. so like after a break (im starting to feel better) we have to run 15 minutes hard arond the thing so i try to get up and hes like "no your done" so im like "i can do this." hes like "no" so i went to the other coach and was like "let me run i can do it ill walk a line or something" hes like "alright but if you die its your ass" so i go and run and dont stop once and kick some ass. i was disoritented, but i ran fast as hell on that 15 mintues. im not giving up the first day, thats bullshit. im still a little trippy. i have no idea this hasnt happened before. as you can tell, im a total hardass...hahah.
i mean ive done like 2 mile sprints, then 7 miles straight, and then 2 miles of 400 sprints and jogs and been fine and that was last year. i think it was the nachos. the disorientations a little weird though, never had that. it was obviously an electrolyte realted problem. maybe from the throwing up? i dont really know this is new, so help me on why and how to prevent it.

low blood sugar and dehydration. nachos dont really give you much usable energy.

you should know better than to eat before practice like that. When I played lax, a lot of my team would either eat as a group like 2 hours beforehand, or right afterwards. Idk we were all like family though. My parents didn't mind having some of the team over, and vice versa with their parents. Also... nachos??? thats like the perfect way to get dehydrated. Way too much sodium in mexican corn chips.
Best thing I can say is to eat something light before practice. Then eat after. That is depending on your practice time too. I mean it's not good to eat a lot really late. Because your metabolism isn't up, and especially if you go to sleep after. I'm kind of a health freak so I try not to eat after 7 PM.

2 hours before practice *do this with your normal hydration process* drink half a gatorade *the biggest personal use one if you can* then when its half empty fill it back up with water, so half gatorade, half water. you will not have hydration problems doing this
oh and if you dont care about wasting pour out the first half of the gatorade, ITS WAY TO SUGARY, its almost not good for you, but half water, half gatorade is the dank goodness. i played high school football in Las Vegas, believe me i know about hydration

i guess my original post sounded a little "manly runner" ish, but it just copied and pasted from a convo i had with my other friend on the team that was wondering what i was talking to him about.

nope but i practiced and picked it up kinda over the summer.
the problem is that our team's varsity and jv are preseason ranked as #1 in the state. therefore, our coaches are running military training on us.

haha my coaches last year were all military college lax players so i know how you feel...they'll probably tone it down when your games start.

oh and don't drink caffine, from what i've heard it can cause headaches and increase your "disorientation"

You were drunk on cheese!!
I've never heard of it happening outside of Scrubs.
Like everyone says, probably a hydration problem, loads of water and bit of sports drink, perhaps get a powdered one so you can mix it the way you like it. Don't drink it all at once, small amounts often is best.
DON'T drink red bull if you're going to exercise loads, the caffeine and shit will mess you up! Or it does for me at least.

i know some kids at BHS who probably will play around for fun, and there are defeintly some kids at U of M, but just play with the kids who else signed up for the league that got canceled.
bhs juniors- austin gobel, garret toble, evan cooper, jared urban, mitch kopcheck, johnathan krushcski (i cant spell), justin sekerak, bobby thomas...i dont know its not as big in brighton as it is here. i doubt any of them will want to get together and play though. maybe in the summer...and they're all juniors.

if you want to try to play at u of m, the lacrosse captain at BHS from last year is dating my friend, so i could get you his number. he probbaly knows who plays at U of M including himself and could work something out.

Well i had somthing like that happen to me, we had a practice and it was proboblly 85 degrees outside. (thats really fucking hot in lacrosse equipment). anyway we were doing sprints and 2 guys got sick and threw up everywhere, and i gagged a little and all 3 of us were pretty dizzy and disoriented. none of us were solidly drinking water, after that we all drank water constantly during practice, it never happened again.
(we won states 3 weeks later)

your body cant use calories ingested less than 4 hours before excercise, thats why practice is about 4 hours after lunch for most. but you can get dehydrated. so what you did is lost water, then went and tried to run while digesting, which means less blood for your brain and muscles. not a good combo.
