well i know its on one of your sides and I rocked my hip a few times this weekend and I am quite sick right now...i was just wondering where it exactly is
on a side note, does anyone know anything about the evolutionary shrinkage of the appendix? I am supposed to be writing a paper on the appendix as a vestigial organ and my bio teacher said I had to include this but I cant find anything about it.
don't laugh, i only know a little bit... something about how it's used to digest some herbs, but we don't eat herbs anymore, we smoke em', so it's no longer needed.... I'm guessing you figured out that much though.
yes its bad because stuff will be easily get in there and get stuck, a smaller appendix is better
as for you, the pain normally starts on the other side(your left) and works its way around after time, it can last for a couple days and then you will feel fine, and then in the next few days get really sick and can die, it hurts really bad, you cant sleep at all, mine didnt burst because after one night of not sleeping and a day of jsut laying around hunched over when walking(also another thing, pain makes u kinda bend over) i went to the doctor that night, also if you have problems going to the bathroom, that can also indicate appendicitis(sp?)
if you have any of these symptoms, except for pain, check location and if its moved, then you should go see a doctor
i had 3 of 4 of these symptoms so they were pretty sure it was my appendix, if there is a problem and its not ur appendix, they will go in and take a look
in a book im reading...some people tried to do an appendix surgery ona guy, and they were worried about them cutting the pancreas. so apparently it's near the pancreas
