I really think we would have won if palmer didnt get hurt. it took such a mental hit on the team, and he is such a good QB

If it hadn't have been for Palmer's knee injury, that would have been a different game altogether. He has emerged in to a great QB, and his relationship with his receivers (specifically Chad Johnson) is amazing. The two of them idolize Peyton and Harrison, and it's starting to show.
I was convinced it would be Cincin moving on, seeing as Pittsburgh is not the team the media wants them to be. They won't make it any farther now, as goes for the Patriots, who are a shell of their former selves. Brady will collapse, and he will make himself look terrible in post-game comments.

The pass play, Palmer to Henry, was the longest in Bengals post game history and both players got hurt. sigh... If Palmer was playing we would have destroyed them. I mean they let Kit score 17 on them. Props to Kit though for stepping up to fill some huge shoes.
we will get em next year.
now its time to root for Rex Grossman the da bears!

Cinci needs to get that field taken care of it's a piece of shit. Way too many ankle and knee injuries in that game for my liking. Palmer can actually blame part of that injury on the Bengals Organization and field staff. It wouldn't have been nearly as bad if his foot didn't lock up on the turf.

^ you definitely need to pull out a newspaper and look at the injury report for that game on both teams. So many ankle and knee injurries. And if you look at the game films, you'll notice a lot of weird traction too. Trust me on this one. I'm a student athletic trainer here at Pitt. Those kind of fields are notorius for leg injurries.

How old are you, 14?
It's been agreed by 99% of the sports authorities in the country that it wasn't a cheap shot intending on hurting him. Now if you'd like to be educated on this you'd know that many players from both teams sustained leg injuries during that game. Give me a second to find my newspaper, and my Athletic Training text book. I'm truely sorry that what palmer was injurred. But given the scenario, and that other players sustained connective tissue damage during that game, it's easy to see that the field contributed to these injuries.

Injuries
--Bengals--
Carson Palmer - Knee (torn ACL + MCL)
Chris Henry - Knee
"Henry was knocked out of Sunday's game with a knee injury. The injury was an odd one, as Henry wasn't touched by another player on the play."
-There are more minor bengals injuries but I can't seem to find them at the moment.
--Steelers--
James Harrison - Ankle
Quincy Morgan - Knee
Larry Foot - Ankle
Clark Haggins - Ankle
Deshea Townsend - Knee
Now these Player's injuries aren't entirely serious like Palmers, but they are still important and will affect performance.
Paul Brown Stadium is a turf field. Now it is not "AstroTurf", but any turf is more dangerous than grass. Now if the turf isn't properly groomed, with proper rubber placement, it can be even more dangerous. Watching so game film again even players that were not affected with injuries experienced some awkward traction problems. This is where Henry's injury comes into play. Anyone who saw that, knew that there was a problem with the playing surface.

he hurt his leg before that play, he tried to go another play and couldnt make it.
and yes you have an athletic trainer book. but i will tell you palmers injury would have happend on any field.
i have played on grass, astro-turff, and grasstro-turff *the stuff most pro stadiums are* and i will agree the grasstro turff was a bit weird, really bouncy tho, i liked it for running, but if you hooked up wrong on that shit your DONE

^oh i know it would've happened on any field. maybe I didn't clarify that enough. but the field didn't help is all I'm saying. and the other injuries show that.

Cinci won games a lot of their games this year not solely because of palmer and Johnson (who are both amazing).. their defence would have at least 2 takeaways a game it seemed. And when their team 'needed' every break that they could take, the defense couldn't get it for them. Rather, the Steeler offence didn't allow that to happen.
