Pats-Denver
Pats should win this game. Their defense has come alive out of nowhere and Brady is playing how he usually does in the playoffs..perfect. Denver has shown signs of inconsistency over their last few regular season games, especially at Quarterback...we've all seen that Plummer before. Their turnover ratio is worse than any other team in the playoffs.
Panthers-Bears
If Carolina runs the ball well, they should pull this one out. Problem is, they're running against a Bears defense that is 2nd in the league. But, the Panthers have a back-up plan involving Steve Smith and Jake Delhomme. Bears have no offense to speak of, and Carolina's defense is not to be underestimated. Carolina should be in the NFC championship.
Steelers-Colts
This one will be alot closer than people think. The Steelers will be able to slow the Colts offense, but they won't be able to stop it. The key for Pittsburgh is to keep up with the Colts on offense. Once Indy gets a two touchdown lead, things get REALLY HARD. If Rolthsburger can keep his composure, you might see the biggest upset of the year.
Redskins-Seahawks
I think Washington did something last week against Tampa no one else is seeing. I think they planned to have the defense win the game for them. Going into Tampa, Brunell and Portis were pretty banged up. By playing VERY conservatively, and putting the game in the defense's hands, Brunell and Portis were able to slide through the game with minimal exertion. They knew if they won they'd be playing Seattle the following week, so why not "rest" them? I think you'll be seeing a very different offense against Seattle. You'll see more attack plays to open the Seattle secondary, and Portis should be back to form. The Redskins defense will converge on Shawn Alexander to force Hassleback to work for a win. And Sean Taylor will have a HUGE game...trust me. Seattle's offense is the best in the NFC, if they can consistently put up points, and avoid turnovers, they should win. If it's close though, I'm going with the Redskins, who's defense can take over a game, and offense is visciously explosive when it wants to be. Remember, Washington already beat Seattle in the regular season.
