How to make your own ramps, boxes and rails?

I have noticed that a lot of people who want to build a rail or boxes always make a small post in a thread that usually never gets answered. SO I am hoping that in this thread some people who know what they are talking about can give everyone some good plans, pictures, and instructions on how to make your own rails and boxes. I know that ramps is self explanatory but I am sure someone out there doesnt know how to make one. So I think everyone will appreciate some helpful posts so that we can all make our own rails.

I just made a hot ass 5 foot flat, 8 foot down box. It's dope as shit. Just make a fame out of wood. Like a house type frame w/ supports. Cover it withe some ply wood. then for the rails use agle iron... drill it and use one of those cone drill bits to mkae the screws non-exposed. And use plexy glass for th middle. Rails require a welder. Boxes all u need metal wise is a drill, angle iron, and one of those weird ass saws that cut metal... Over all it will cost you about 150 or so if you use pressure treated. If your smart about it tho, take woodworking or shop at ur school and they will cover half the cost and supply you with the tools. Ill post my box when it's done... i juts need to paint it, and put on the plexyglass.

puck board is where it is at, just build a wood frame with ply wood ontop, then go to 3M innovations and buy puckboard. It comes in white or red, white is cheaper it is the stuff used in hockey arenas as the boards it runs for $70 canadian for a sheet 8ftlong 3ft wide. Its is easy to cut(via jig saw), drill holes into it before screwing it so the screws are countersunk, you dont even need any copeing on the side but it helps your jib last longer. Once you have been abusing your jib you can flip the puckboard over and drill new holes and you have a fresh jib.i have built many jibs this way you might be able to score some puck board from your local arenas storage rooms

if you arent to hard on your jib the puck board should last a good ski season. You can buy it at special plastic stores i found it in ottawa at 3m polyurethenes it took a while to find but very much worth it. it also comes in different thicknesses 1/4 inch which i got because it was cheaper it works fine but if you can afford it the 1/2 inch whould be pimp(stronger&last longer)

FLIP SKIS OVER and drill them to wood!!!!!all u need is old sraight skis u know how they how they make ski chairs.u can put these side by side if u want to make a box- the cool thing about this is skis bend so u can make c rails and such its so easy, just make a frame and file down the edges so there rounded. it sounds like bull but this shit realy works u can make some creative jibs if u are good at frame work. this is by far the cheapest way to make jibs. good luck pm me for help or pics!!!!

keep an eye on your local arena to see if they rennovate the puck boards. One of the arena's around here replaced their boards and threw the puck board outside for the taking. Its a cheap way to get materials to build a box.
