Enemy graphics?

I saw the '03 Enemy (not PEs) in a shop yesterday and they had the same graphic as the AK Enemys w/ the skull & wings design at both tips. But over on K2skis.com they still have a picture of last year's model even though every other ski has the revamped graphics. Strikes me as sort of peculiar b/c the newer graphic is sharper looking (IMO), why wouldn't K2 want to show it off instead?

from what I know the graphics weren't supposed to be like that. they ran outta the old top sheets and to keep things cheap and easy just started putting the AK enemy top sheets on them, same ski just differnat top sheet.

That makes alot of sense. Like I said they did look better in person than the old design anyway. Sounds like they're on their way out though if K2 didn't plan on meeting demand.

i thought they had way too many old top sheets and tried to get rid of them rather than ran out of them. 02-03 enemy in japan have top sheets with skulls from the beginning.
it is funny that we have salomon pocket rocket with old top sheet whereas you guys have new one on them.

dude K2 is not on the way out, I just think that they were planning on getting the public enemy out sooner and thought that would take more of the sales. K2 is on the way up just look at the PE and the Seth pistols

That Graphic is actually a graphic that was made for Canada and other countries besides the USA....anyway it looks good....but the PE looks way sick!!

I wasn't suggesting that K2 is on the way out, I meant that maybe the regular Enemys were being fazed out with the popularity of the PEs. The alternate graphic outside the USA makes alot of sense considering I saw these north of the border but haven't been able to find them down around me.

As far as I know, the PE's are the design for the enemys for 2003 - 2004. It's just K2's bandwagon for mid-season release... Let's see if we follow a skateboard company, we must be cool.

Without ripping on them, the Seth Pistol looks awesome.

I think east vail hucker must be right... because they couldn't have run out of or produced too many AK Enemy top sheets cuz the AK Enemy is kinda orange is and only comes in 188, whereas the 2003 enemy is red with the similar skull, and comes in sizes 173 and 183. Oh yeah and the PE design isn't just a design, its a completly different ski... dumbass.
