i was talking to this new kid at my school from florida, he makes fun of me because i ski.... but his name is michael hunt and im not lying, one day he comes up to me and asked me why i ski. on the car ride back home from the mountain i started thinking about it, i dont even think i have fun skiing today, i just do it and have an urge to keep skiing, so now im kind of confused
Well I snowboard, but I do so because I fell in love with it after the first time. The rush you get dropping a cliff, or learning a new trick. Or finally stepping to that big kicker you've been eyeing up. But it's a love/hate thing because I think we all hate it when it's the last day of the season and your 5s are finally coming around and your landing on both feet, and then boom. No more riding.
I ski to show those nukkaz who da man.. nobody frontin when I throw down for sure.. and there aint no betta feelin that ridin when yo blazed outta yo mind, son
exactly. it is just a part of everything that i do. its about being by myself, pushing myself, and listening to music that will always remind me of skiing . or its about being with some of my best friends that i will ever have and knowing that this is one thing that will always keep us together. and its about seeing the breathtaking scenery and feeling how the cold takes the air right out of your lungs. its about cheating death, then laughing at it in the face.....
skiing = crack, its drains your money and makes you go long ways to do it. when you ski its the best thing in the world, when you are not skiing you shake and quiver and have nervous fits. so you must go skiing agin.
have you ever hit like a 140 foot dune jump? If you grew up ridin bikes you would think different, yeah I can still surf in the summer, and bike. Skiing is easy and you can go huge and not get hurt.
i feel the best when skiing. its like a drug. all my problems are gone. its exactly what id like to be doing. out by myself in colorado or utah with my mp3 player on some run. stopping by the trees and just sitting there by myself eating like a hershey bar or something. its the best feeling ever. serenity. its fun as hell. i love talk about it.
I ski because it is the one time that my mind is completely empty, and there's nothing going on in my world other than the snow under my feet, and the music in my ears.
because hauling ass down groomers, ripping bumps, whipping through trees, dropping cliffs, learning a new trick or variation on rails and booosting big air on a nice table or pipe all makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up and gives me shivers sometimes
It feels good, nature and I on the same page
yep, a bad day skiing, in most cases is better than an average day anywhere else, unless you do something to cause you to be unable to ski in the future
You know that feeling you get when you jump on a cliff, a gap or a table, as small as it can be, and you don't really know if you're gonna make it or over shoot it and just after you land on a smooth leaning landing. All this time you've been doing a trick to make it harder and you know you would get really hurt if you'd fall, but you don't. OK so that's the thing i'm skiing for. kna' mean?
