this one kid at school was trying to convince me to get the ski club to go to elk more often saying that they redid their park or what not thus it would be more appealing to go to (80%of the club love park/snowboard) anyone check it out yet?
its better than montage cuse they actully know how to build jumps and have a rope tow and theyrs not like a million shity kids who dont know what theyr doin like at montage
Come to montage, your thoughts will be totally changed. Our park was totally different then years past. The jumps are built much better the elks. HEres are park in this order- 6 foot a frame, 6 foot flat bar or 12 foot dragon box, two 15 foot jumps or you could do about a 25 foot transfer over them, 6 foot rainbow box, 8 foot flat down up rail, c box, 10 foot jump, either a 15 foot flat bar or a 20 battelship, the either a 30 footer or 20 footer jump. What does elk have? I am going to elk next week I believe, so i should see for myself. But Seriously give Montages park a try this year, much better then what I hear from elks park.
Every park has a bunch of shitty people in it, the only reason elk doenst have as much is people dont go to elk to ski the shitty park. They got there for the good trails. But Montage has a bunch of good kids, at both skiing and snowboarding. Like today in montages park I saw switch 7s, 9s, one 1080, cork 5, cork 3, swithc 270 on flat bar to blindside switch up.
there is no way you can tell me that montage is good. the only year that montage was worth going to was when they had the park on i beleive upper and lower fast track. they got a bad park prolly because they have barely enough money to keep the mountain running. there rails are not really the best, a 6 ft rail? thats smaller then the rail i have in my backyard cmon now... the overall terrain of montage is great, there park, blows.
The park is one a new slope this year, tottaly by itself. Okay so they have smaller rails,so what. But here we are comparing montage vs elk and montages park does beat there. Also montage is adding a 24' flat box but they are making it an up box, and the are putting just a regular 24'flat box out. They are putting them out when it gets colder.
dude your description of montage's park sounded pretty weak. I mean 24ft still aint that long. And the biggest hit is 30? thats sounds pretty weak i would rather goto elk for better skiing cause elk has by far the best overall freeriding in Pa. A 6ft long rail tats pathetic i hope you are kidding.
elk is my home mountain and jus to tell u all, it sucks big balls. the jumps have no pop, the landings are flat, and every rail is ride-on. the only thing nice is that they have a tow rope, go to boulder or bear for park, elks good for bumps
I rode Sno the whole last season.I never had trouble getting over any jumps, you just don't know where to start from.
There where acouple times when they did mess up the lips and landings on a jump but thats cause they made the guy who grooms the slopes groom the park instead of one of the park crew guys take the cat and groom it.
Sno will blow up next year. Anyone ready for the 22' pipe, more rails and boxes, bigger jumps, 3 parks?
This should be the year for Sno. They had a year to settle in, now we will see what they can really do.
