First Year and I could use a little help

I have been skiing for about 8 years but have never completly gotten into freestyle skiing. I would like to get some beginner skis but I dont want to spend to much money. If any one has any suggestions on a good pair of beginner skis and any other stuff I should know before I go out there and start I would appreciate it.

You should be able to find last year's models for fairly cheap, but for me to recommend something I'd need to know your height/weight, how much park/groomers/trees/etc u ski, and how much you plan on spending.

Well I am 5/3 95 lbs. I now ski about 50% Moguls 25% Tree and 25% Terrain. Even with these skis, I will still be doing a lot of moguls and trees.

well u said it your self u dont want to spen alot of money and 600+ is a alot i would go with last years Scratches good ski and you can probly get them for a real good price

go blindly buy salomon 1080. not really durable but from the worst skier to candide thovex, they are unending fun and really easy to ski whatever your level

me personally it sounds like you want a good all around ski. mugals you don't really carve, trees you don't have time to carve and terrain you might need to. even then you should have a good carving ski. i skied on the origonal 1080s the yellow ones and i learned mogals on them and all the basics. You should go with salomon last year 720s i think because the 1080s might be too stiff for you. Them or the scratches/public enemies.

to me scratch are quite directive and very park specific (who said often unfunny?).

for bindings, beginning freestylers don't really need very hard ones (especially if you don't plan bigmountain). i'd say anything safe enough and cheap. i don't know dangerous bindings on the market

i rented pes and 1080s and i still think scratches r a better all around twin but to each his own

Id try rossi sprayers or last yrs scratch pros(not the fs) there a good twin a little cheaper and still handle all mt
