Sticker on helmet

So I just tried to put a sick sticker on my helmet (a bad lt.) and messed up bad. Luckily I got all of it off the helmet.
Putting stickers on flat surfaces is easy, but how do you do it on something round (like a helmet) without it getting scrunched up and un-even...? any tips?

it would depend what shape the sticker is - like sometimes you would need to cut a small piece of the sticker off to take the curve into account if you get me

thats most easily explained if you wanted to put a circle shaped sticker on a curved helmet - you would need to cut a small 'V' out of the sticker to make it fit without bubbles and crinkles etc -

but once you cut the sticker, its not coming back though..

you dont have to cut pieces out of the sticker. All you have to do is make little cuts into it, like 3 or so evenly spaces slits for a circle

Yup. Cut perpendicularly into the sticker, like 1/2 a cm. Should be good.

well this is actually a squared shaped paper, and the sticker is in different pieces on the paper. I guess you're supposed to put the paper evenly on the desired surface, let it try and then take the paper off... so how should I do? thanks guys

If it's one that I'm thinking of, the die cut decal, then just cut each section of the sticker off that you want, and apply in sections. Letter by letter would probably work.
