I just hate it when people buy twins and don't use them. I saw some kid with salomon foils and the new salomon top of the line boots. He went of the table at saint marie (2 foot gap) samll jump and fell four times doing a straight air. It just bugs me a lot. does it bother anyone else. I suppose they could be new and are learing but i learned on striaght skis with no swin tips and i turned out fine.
that is the biges thing that bugs me. They have way better stuff then me and they can't even pop? WTF MATE THAT IS SCREWED UP. They are trying the sport of newschool skiing. Got to give them props i guess
It is elitist ignorant "too cool for school" retards like you that ruin this sport....
You are the complete and utter sterotype of an elitist stuck up rich kid brat...everyone else sucks except for you, huh? You are so freaking "core", i bet when you throw down in the park the whole mountain stops everything to give you props for ruling it so hard....
Here is some advice, quit worrying about how others are skiing, YOU are not that cool
i truly dont care. i cared a few years ago when there was a guy doing 1's (shitty 1's) off kiddy killers (small jumps for babies) on rossi scratches (the old red and yellow ones) and we used to have cuss fights, now i dont care!
I know it expands the market and everything, but people should buy skis for what they do. I'm talking about people who never ever will go through the park. They should just buy normal carving skis, not twins. Although they may be expanding the twin market, I don't think that is the direction I want the market to go in
those kids buy twins from the same companies you do. by buying twins as opposed to non-twins, they are helping to increase the market, putting more money into the industry, making it easier for companies to afford R&D for their skis, thus enabling them to produce a better product. you can bitch as much as you'd like about these kids with hot shit, but they're helping the industry along just as much, if not more so, than you are. it might be worth your while to silently thank these kids for putting so much money into an industry you claim to love so much- in the end, it helps all of us.
i already said you guys are right. They are supportng the industry and i give them props for buying the stuff or if they don't have a job/slash under 12, then i give them props for suckering there parents into believing they need top of the line twins.
ok, now let's stop bitching about people's parents buying them stuff...
because there has been such a huge increase in the sales of twin tips, companies such as Line and K2 are now putting out well constructed, pro-inspired, affordable skis. while you (and many people out there) have to buy your own gear, it's becoming more and more affordable thanks to more money in the industry. the same people you are bitching about are the same people who were able to convince big companies that there is enough interest and a large enough potential market to research, design, and produce skis such as the Fujative and the Invader (skis most people can afford to buy once every few seasons that are also high quality twin tips). you can complain and cry about it all you'd like, but these kids who you are whining about are the very reason skis are becoming more affordable.
alright thanks. I now understand. More people should go out and buy twins. That way, more twins can come out and all of us at newschoolers can ski them. YAH
exactly. it's like with anything else- if you want to see something grow and progress, you should be happy when you see more people doing it.
that being said, it's still ok to laugh when people crash off a two-foot-tall jump- it looks funny when it happens, not your fault. it's kinda like a cat jumping into a ceiling fan- no matter how you look at it, it's funny (as long as the cat doesn't die, i guess).
i completely agree with you...but also..if they arent going in the park they could possiby get a better ski for what they are looking for...like they could get a reall good race ski or rec ski thats amazing for carving ..maybe better than twins....i dont have a prob with anyone having any twin tip even if they are a beginner on the best skis..if they are trying shit go ahead and get the best twins..but if your not skiing park or switch or anything..then there are possible better options for a ski
did you even read the thread, dude? and thanks for telling us to shut the fuck up. i appreciate it when someone tries to keep me from expressing my opinion.
ya and if you have the money why not buy the top of the line.. even if you are a noob.. i know if i had alot of money when i started i woulda got top of the line shit... but i didnt so my first skis were rossignol cuts that i got for 50 bucks. haha
being in the park is so weird now, cuz everyone just sizes eachother up, its so weird, it doesnt happen at the smaller mountains, but at mountains with bigger parks there is tons of tension
you kids crying about newbie's to the sport having better shit than you are fucking retarded. They can buy whatever the F they want and they shouldn't have to deal with jelous idiots like yourselves talking shit about them. start skiing and stop looking around at other people.
ur a punk dude- hes got mad posts and uve got like a fourth as much as him- i kno i dont have a lot, but i dont disrespct other dudes, that obviously arent- and if they are, who cares? as long as u dont see them on the slopes, chill! jus be happy- negativity sucks- nobody likes it
sounds like a lot of you are just jelouse, my dad who never rides in the park has a pair of the first year of scratches and likes them better than his carving skis, they have a different way of turning (no hard tail) and some people who just carve like that
they always bug me, especailly the ones who just ski around everything and not even straight air it, but i realize, everyone has to learn sometime so maybe they are just starting adn i dont mind so much
