hmm. we learned this in grade 9...there are jetstreams of somesort on 4 laterals and they all go a certain direction...also has something to do with suns gravatational pull and the earth turning fuck i dont know

I belive that it has to do with temperature deferences. and the gravitational pull humidity and all that jazz. Also the topography of the land.

I know that a hurricane depends on the difference of temperature of the surface ocean water and the air temp. The higher the surface ocean temp and the lower the air temp the worse hurricane you will get. thats why they die out when they hit land cause the differnece in the surface earth temp and the air temp is minimal.

The warm air from land passes over water. The warm air passes over the cold air (warm air more dense than cold air). The cold low pressured air is forced under the warmer air and causes wind. That's the VERY basic concept of it.

temparature, hot air rises so when the air risses, cold air rushes to fill the empty place. THEN YOUGET WIND, humidity affects the rise and fall of the temperature.

changes in air preesure and temperature make molecules in the air expand and contract like pump. the pump pushes molecules away kinda like a wave in the ocean

^that kids right all fluids move from high to low pressure areas so right on a frontal boundary (usually will some kind of storm) there is a lot of air moving from the high pressure air mass to the low pressure airmass. im not sure if it has anything to do with temperature though

The sun heats up the air. Warm air rises and is less dense. The more dense cold air slides underneath the warm air front. There's also some stuff with the earth's rotation that causes it to move in a clockwise and counterclockwise (depending on the hemisphere) which is called the Coriolis force.

pressure differentials. air flows from areas of high pressue to those of lower pressure. since when temp goes up, pressue goes dowmn you sometimes end up with oppressively hot (or comparatively warm) still weather immediately before a front moves in
