fakie on a skateboard means switch nollie basically. its where your riding switch but you pop off the nose, so its really like doing a regular ollie but just turned around. it gets all fucked up when you try to apply it to skis because everything is different. Although some deny it, switch and fakie are really the same on skis. if you wanna be technical, fakie on skis would be if you pop off your tails (downhill of you) while riding backwards, and switch would be if you pop off your tips. while riding, you are technically not in switch or fakie because (in skateboarding, where it comes from) switch vs fakie depends on how your feet are set (at the nose or tail).
well heres a good argument. switch in skateboarding or snowboarding is when you are riding the opposite of you riding stance (goofy-regular, regular-goofy) no one rides backwards regularly on skis right? so technically switch on skis doesnt exist it should be called fakie
switch would be riding the opposite of what you usually ride. and noone rides backwards down the hill naturally. and you cant stand switch+nollie (fakie) on skis
