im a little less than 169 and i have 169 public enemies that come up to that little indent on the bridge of your nose which seem alright. 159 is a little too short though. but it also depends on the stiffness of the skis a little bit too.
hey man, im 5 feet and im riding a 158 scratch pro.....its all in preference... i like them a bit longer..... but ride them. are they centre mounted???
I thought the size of your skis has more to do with weight than height? Im 5'11 but I weigh 130. I'm riding 177 chronics and they are my first twins. I haven't ridden them much but can handle them alright.
I mean 159 is too short for him. But all of you guys telling him to go long?? What if he's a beginner and sucks. Long skis will just frustrate him. And perhaps turn him off of skiing. You don't need long skis because it's the cool thing to do, or it "looks better". You need to be able to effectively ski you skis. And if they're out of your ability range, you won't be having a great time. If you're a beginner, you could go with something like 170 cm. His weight is also a factor too.
