.. has anyone hit Tremblant since the strike ? what's open? officially? what's unofficially skiable ? (not just the park.. trees, glades, yadda yadda )
I'm heading up Sunday. I sincerely doubt that this is the case.. but anyone newschoolers here also uni students ? Perchance also catching a certain bus up Sunday ? And who speak fluent English ? Enough hints..
I'm staying at a condo friday and sat night...skiing sat and sun. I predict the lineups are gonna be huuuuuuge, because everyone is going to rush there since the strike is over...the conditions are gonna be awesome though!
I was there this week-end and the park was decent they built a 20-footer. the glades were pretty good because of the snowfalls. If Soleil and Edge are open go in the glades.
Unfortunately the tabletop was closed shortly after noon on saturday, but was open all day sunday.
The park right now consists of a really wide box, big trap box, 20-25 ft table top, gap to down box, streetstyle rail, flat rail, c-box, raibow box, shitty two bar rail, and a nice long flat down flat box.
Yah, Sunday was dope. Edge was open and it was very soft, pow all day, lots of natural hits, although still some grass sticking through and minor rocks in the trees .. as usual, boarder sliding sideways through trees = fucking gubers .. take all the snow with them... Ripped it up here for most of the day in soft soft bumps.
Soleil was pretty rough, in the trees, did some hiking in there, jumped some ropes, but watch out, there are a LOT of rocks. The "double black" trail was nice (des Boiseaux area). But the chair was breaking down... and Edge was better hands down.
The park is set up, still pretty small, only one 20 foot table, but a nice grade on the intro. Lots of rails and boxes (see above).
If anyone is going to Tremblant (with a car) lemme know.

but everything seems like it will be back to normal soon- they were blowin snow on some of the jumps- its better now all the lifts are open- lookin fwd to the superpipe
