Yeah, Goode's rentsl poles are sweet, try to find some.
I always thought buying the cheapest poles possible was the way to go so that you could replace them easily, but I got some Kerma carbon and fibreglass ones this year - Dynastar sent me them when I wrote "130cm ski poles" on my order, I thought they'd send the cheapest. Anyway, thhey rule. I normally snap at least one pole every 10 days but these have lasted almost 100 this year with only minor chips. Paint sticks to them better than metal poles too.
