can someone who have skied racing skis, tell me how the stl skis are on agressiv carving?

its been awhile since ive been on hardcore race skis, but, i wil say this, these skis have no problem keeping the edge planted. even with railed edges, i could still lay my shoulders on the ground with um. the ski has a very mid range flex, and it handles high speeds fairly confidently. edge to edge response was surprisngly quick for a ski with an 84 mm waist. plus, they are wicked snappy, and you can pump the bejezus outta um in carves. definatly one of the best skiing twins ive ridden in a while. and as im shure your aware, they murder everything else too. the light wieght makes um real easy to whip back and forth too. they are very lively feelin.

04/05 stls are okay. you will deffinetly notice a difference between racing skis and STLS but if your a good skier, it shouldnt matter

i dont think racing skis can be harcore there pritty much as cool as racing suits guards.

I just picked up a pair of the 05-06 ones with the stiffer core and had a day at attitash on them yesterday. I cant get over how well these skis preformed, wether it was in the pow, ice, or piste they never lost a edge and carved beautifully. I havnt had a chance to try them in the park yet but have heard they are insane, def worth every penny spent.

^yup. its amazing. i have skis from both last and this year, and they are COMPLETELY diff. sticks. this years ski is just such a complete packeage. it does everything you ask it to at a very high level. whether slow speed jibs and butters, to high speed kickers, to balls to the wall allmountain stuff, they straight up rip everything. i have no problem calling them the best do it all ski ive ever been on.

well yesterday i was h-core mogul skiing on my stl's and they kill it even in there.

i skied the stl at a demo and made a run or two just nuuukin and the held up pretty good not a problem at all

got a question bout the 05/06 stl's compared to the 04/05 stl's...are the edges any more durable compared to last years model at all? and how much stiffer is the core...we talking like public enemy stiff or like soft of between last years stl and the p.e's?

its a very medium flex. right in the middle. the tips are slightly softer than the tails. it feels just about perfect for me, at approx. 165 lbs on a 183. gota remeber flex changes with size.
