Replying to How Fat?

Alright, I'm most likely going out West next year for school, either Seattle or Vancouver. So this summer I plan on buying some fat skis for cheap and maybe some other backcountry gear if I can afford it.

Right now I'm thinking Big Troubles, which have a 90 waist. Thoughts? I mean I know pow skis go alot bigger (Prophet 130s), but at a certain point it has to get to the point where it would just be cumbersome unless I'm in six feet of fresh.
