i hit a 35ft table thing and when i get on the chairlift i notice it. it kinda sucks cause those are 178s and now i have to ride some 158's untill i get new ones..
thats prob the 15th pair ive seen with that exact same damage. thats what you get for buyin a 278$ ski next time you buy one put some rivits in the tips and tails from the day you unrap them and they may hold up but you can thank line for the cheaply made skis and your wallat for not buying an armada.
yeah, whats the deal with that, is there supposed to be a normal way to mount them. because i see most people with one ski backwards and one frontwards. i have mine both mounted so the pink skull is on the tail.
that started happening to me and i just superglued it down and it held up wicked nice. just my tip broke afterwards (no where near the superglued area)
Ya thats pretty much what I did with my first pair of twins just doing what there made for than brake the tip all a sudden. but the shop was nice and let me replace the ski with whatever ski I wanted that they had.
Even if that^ is not delamination, it is still bullshit and I would never put up with that. In fact I would demand that they replaced my ski or gave me my money back. This is why I buy Armada and rossignol.
In reguard to the thread creator's skis, do you guys think line would still warranty if that happened to the tail but if also there was mad rail damage underfoot, of course both problems are completely independent of eachother? And has anyone had any problems with this years chronics or the yellow 1260's?
i've only seen that happen two ways...
1: a guy ran into something hard (a rail) and did that same shit
2: my buddy didn't case or over shoot a table about the same size...but slapped his tips down pretty hard cuz he was a tad backseat...that caused his atomics to delam the same way...rivits and some epoxy/superglue fixed that shit up good and it avoided warranty...BUUUUUUT!!...when you do things like that (rivits etc etc) to your skis you just shot the warranty out the fucking door
you can actually fix that, it happened to a pair of scotts i had. a session with the hammer some glue, clamps and a rivet soted it right out... but you'd be better getting new ones on warranty. seems like line have just slipped up because i've known guys that have ridden line for years and treated them like shit and this has never happened.
the ones that were delaming just at the top sheet can deffo be fixed and they will ski fine... the ski isn't really damaged but then if it has happened really easily you'll probably still get a replacement on warranty.
