I work at a ski shop in Milwaukee. Its actually not a ski shop so much as it is a clothing store that happens to also sell skis. For those of you who know its Laacke and Joys. Bunkvision. So the post xmas party is coming up where everyone from each store (we have 3)is invited and all the big wigs from the office and what have you will be there. Like these are the people who still perpetuate the fur trade, I mean fucking rich. So for this party a girl I work with and I are cross dressing. Like she'll be my date as a man, and I'll wear a dress and whatnot and be a woman. What I'm wondering is if there could be any repercussions for following through with this plan. I read through the employee handbook and it didn't say anything about wearing a dress. Also what would you think if you saw this go down?
I really don't care if they think i'm gay. Most of the people who actually ski are on like 161 1080s from 2 seasons ago and do pencil 3's and claim style. I dunno seriously, its the worst fucking ski shop in the history of snowsports. I really want to quit but being hooked up with proforms is nice. But would it be legal for them to fire me based on appearance in a situation that was related to work but wasn't at a place of business. (its at a pavilion) Especially seeing as my friend is dressing as a guy would I have grounds for a law suit under sexual discrimination?
