I got new fishes. when are they gona die?

so yea... walmart had gold fish on for 8 cents each. :O so I bought 11 of them. te he. they now are living in a the little mermaid aquarium in my kitchen. I got them yeasterday and none are dead yet.... I have no food for them though... but I will get that soon. other than that they seem pretty happy. but yea... how long do you think they are gona last?

My sister bought some salamanders, and she dumped them in an empty aquarium.... anyways, we all thought they would both die,
only one did, then the other one started eating the other ones head off....

i had a goldfish for 5 years. The last year of its life it would spend its time swimming to the bottom of the bowl and floating back up upside down. It was funny kind of.

I bought one of those frogs in those like 6in cubes and I've had him for close to 3 years now, they said their life span is only 1-2 years. So miracles do happen but wiht your fish i'd say give em another 5 days.

hey while i was in fernie. my 4 guppy fish ate my beta fighting fish... like. hes all gone. there is nothing left of him.. and my snail that i bought for the tank. had babysnails. but i think one crept up the side to the top and got cooked from the light..

there is nothing wrong with keeping fish in a whiskey bottle. and the book said that it liked warm water. and if it didn't get heat it would just sit there... and that is what it was doing.... so yea.... the light was to keep it warm.... it only died after you guys took the light away... fockers. thats my story and I'm sticking to it. as for my parents taking care of them.... they went away on vacation. they specificly said I wasn't alowed to get fish. and walmart said that you can't return live things... te he. so I am stuck with them... and they are going to stacey once I leave.... if they are still alive. they have an aquarium this time... it has the little mermaid in it. she is hot. well for a fish.... hmm. I still have no food though... you think that is a problem? meh.

i got the sickest fish, its a siamese fighting fish and it lives under a plant in the top of the water which is part of the tank that holds the fish, it is hard to explain but its cool because the fish is red and blue and you only have to feed it once a week because it eats the plant roots too

yeah. wierd.. my beta fighting fish was red and blue too. (also like daves before he killed it in the whiskey bottle) but ours both played in the plants. and i got plants months after i got him.. and then slowly the plants began to die off and it looked like they had been eated at the bottm because theyare all no floating in the water at the top.
but beta's dont fight unless its another beta. ilearned that i bought 4 gupy red eyed fish and put them in the same tank. and they started to beat him up.. and then they killed him.. and ate him.. cause i never took him out of the tank but his body isnt there.. i dont like my 4 new fish.. they are killers..

they should live for quite a long time gold fish are relatives of carp and can live in some of the nastiest dirtiest water as long as you dont put anything in the tank that may be 'toxic' to them which could be anything from a plastic toy to soap used to clean the tank.

without food they will only live for a few days. I spend about $4 a week on goldfish to feed my other fishes. My biggest fish is a little smaller than my hand, but my friends fish is huge. Last weekend we bought a mouse at the pet store and the fucking fish ate it. it was pretty sweet but the remains made a nasty mess in the filter. Does anyone else on this site keep aggressive fish?

I had 3 pirhanas at one time, the lived for 2 years eating those kind of goldfish you have now. 12 of em a week. But then my tank heater went crazy and fried them :(.
They were pretty mean though, one of em bit me once and I had tiny jaw marks on my finger for 2 weeks.
