Where to ski? Is it all ice?

Hey guys, sorry about this post but I couldn't find proper ski conditions anywhere.
I was wondering if anyone has been skiing anywhere in the past day or 2. I was outside yesterday on my snowskate and it was hell, it was all ice. Anyone the slopes the same? Or are they actually decent? I just got a new pair of skis (K2 Public Enemy) and i'm really eager to try them out, but i dont wanna go anywhere if the hills are all slicks.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks

Well since all the hills are groomed every day, they aren't gonna be all ice. I'm sure any of the hills around here would be fine to test out your PE's, so don't let a little ice around your house hold ya back.

I skied Mont Saint Marie today and they had an okay park. It is good consdering what Fortune has to offer. They have a table and a box. The other conditions were skiable. You have to get there in the morning though. The beginners scrape up the hill. The table was good and i was able to get a couple of 3s on it and a fakie 180 saftey off on it. Didn't attept the box. Looked bad.

The box at St. Marie is probably the best thing they got going. The jump is horrible. the landing is flat, and it starts right at the lip, it's crap. I watched some dude tear his ACL on it today. The box is a nice flat down with a little gap in between. As for the ice, this is the Ice Coast dude, get used to it. But if you really hate it, do what I do and ride the sides of the trail. All that snow that gets scraped usually ends up there. Plus, you can ride off the sides and drop rocks and shit. The "other side" at St. Marie has a sick rock drop.

yah the rock drop s amazing. The jump when i was there had a really good landing. At the end of the day it was sheer ice though. Maybe they didn't groom it?
