someone needs to make a dam sticky on this! go to a boot shop....or somewhere that carries boots, and the are knowledgeable on them, each brand has a different form of a shell, meaning a different heal width, instep heighth, and toe pocket width, some narrow some wide, and boots come in different flex ratings, depending on what you will use your boot for, park...big mtn...racing etc...basically go to a shop, get a boot that fits your foot the way it should, not just a random boot that you want cuz the look or because what your friends tell you are good, spend the money on a boot, it is the most important part of your whole system, its where all your control comes from, so dont go to some dumb sale and get a 40 dollar boot, spend the 200-400 dollars and you wont regret it
The one that fits your foot and flexes the way you want it to. There is no "best boot" just as there is no "best ski," it all depends on the person, their riding style, and the terrain.
Try on as many boots as you possibly can. Make sure you get your feet measured properly by the guy in the shop. Try to find a shop with knowledgable staff as that's really important too.
A sticky with basic parameters for what a good range of stiffnesses/features that are good for freestyle would help people I think.
i have some technica rival x9's. there last years boots that i got on clearance for $140, and they are amazing. they are so comfortable on your feet now that im starting to get them broken ion and all, but i would recomend them to anyone. you really just have to try several boots because the same boot may not work for 2 different people.
