Ipod question

I went to my friends house and got all of his music on my ipod. Now when i try to open it on the itunes at my house i can't get any of the songs into my library does anyone have any idea how to get them into the library so I can change the songs and update my ipod without losing all the songs i got from my friend

Under Tools in Itunes, change music updates (i think it's called) to Manual, instead of automatic.

I did that so the songs are unlocked but I can't drag them into the library

oh, you need to download a program to do that because it's not using your ipod as an external hard drive. You CAN go back and drag songs into your ipod as basic files (not itunes files) and then you can use your ipod as an external hard drive and drag them into your library. BUT, somebody will know the program that you can use to do it with waht you have now, I've never used it so Im not sure what it's called.
