Stand alone mp3 equalizer? help please!

i use musicmatch as my mp3 player because i've got a dell digital jukebox. i recently bought some dank speakers and a soundcard but i don't have a good equalizer. the equalizer that comes with musicmatch sucks big time. i am looking for a stand alone mp3 equalizer. meaning just an equalizer that adjusts all sounds coming out of my computer no matter where they come from, and not one that has to be run with it's own mp3 player because i don't want to switch, i love musicmatch with the exception of the shitty equalizer. does anybody know of anything?

are you looking for an external EQ or software? Foobar2000 is what i use to play mp3s and i has an 18 band eq with it. should be free to download.
