Okay.. so I just got home from my new years shinanigans. And it was insane. Im acutally still shaking. I drank about 7 or so beverages so i was pretty drunk, and i stopped drinking a little before 12 so i could drive home at 3 or 4. So anyways 3 am rolls around, and i head on home. I'm almost completely sober and im not feeling much effects of the alcy, and im about 1/4 mile away from my house when i instantly think OH SHIT. I see the flashing red and blue lights of a police block. I turn around in the hope that the cop doenst see me, but of course he does. At the moment I'm basically thinking oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck im 18 and i drank lots on new years. So the cop pulls me over, comes up to my window and asks what im doing and i say driving home from a buds house. He then says "ya fucked up?" and i told him the truth that i had drank but i had waited over 3 hours to drive home. And he walks away and tells me to drive home carefully. Holy fuck. I could have been so insanely screwed.

Why didnt you lie to that fucking puig? why didnt you run? "Pulling over immediatley places contempt in the cops heart."

^I think lying would have just screwed me over completely. First of all there was obviously alcohol on my breath, and 2nd of all my car is a 1984 volvo so there was so chance i was gettign away. Plus running from cops is retarded, there is like a 99% chance you will get caught. If you dont piss off the cop, chances are he will be nice to you back

oh yeah, near one of my friend's businesses, there is one of those stop signs that are pointless and everyone goes through it. So my friend went through it one day and got caught. The cop asked him what he did, and he said that he went through the stop sign. the cop let him off cause no body ever told him the truth.

Your a dumbass. They can test you right on the spot and even though you have the choice to refuse it, you'll still be screwed.

if you refuse a breathalizer, they can arrest you on the spot b/c of suspicion. You get more screwed over.

maybe cops but not game wardens....
I was driving home with 4 of my friends (Toyota Tacoma, we were packed tight) after trying to by bud (thank god we couldnt) and i had had like 3 beers like an hr ago so i was perfectly fine to drive, but i took the backroads to be safe. So we're cruising along till i come around a corner and a game warden's truck is basically blocking the road and he's standing in the road with his flashlight pointed right at us. I actually knew the guy (I went fishing a week before and he checked our fishing licenses) so I stopped to make sure everything was okay...He was like its fine, just reports of shots fired... then we were about to go and he said "I've met you before" and I said "Yah..blah blah blah" and then he said that he smelled beer and told us to pull over to the side...made us all blow...we all got underage drinking citations and I got an "o-two ticket" (the underage DUI ticket meaning i was under .08 but over .02, i blew .03)...eventually I was aquitted because I have a good lawyer and I know the districts attorney...
Moral of the story, don't count on a cop being nice to you just becuase you were nice to them

Dude, you had 7 drinks and you waited 3 hours. I doubt there was alcohol on your breath. If you eat like a few crackers or something, you can't smell shit.

of course he said that, he was probably trying to scare you. I dunno, it would be hard to smell like an hour after, let alone 3 or more. Whatever, at least you got out of it.

yeah, in Oregon there's a law called 'the implied consent law' that says you have to submit to a breath test or urine test or whatever.

A good buddy of mine one uped this:
We had gone out for a night of drinking a couple weeks back. I was totally hammered and didn't know where I was. We had gotten kicked out of the bar (ooops) so we headed home. My buddy was drunk. He spun out rounding a corner and crashed into a light pole. We were stuck on the median. A cop car was close behind us. He gets out of the car questions my buddy, helps us get the car off the median and leaves.
