commit. thats why you fall, is because you dont. think of it as jumping on s skateboard, keep your weight forward, and balanced , and hit ti straight on. make sure you turn the 90 degrees. honestly its 90% committing. try some boxes first, theyre easier, but different.
U WILL FALL if you've never slid a rail so be prepared.
Otherwise, lots of practice, confidence, and persistance.
start out on tiny boxes and move up as U get more confident.
Just commit, stay forward looking at the end of the rail. Dont worry about catching your front edge on the rail unless your edges arent de-tuned. You just need to go for it man.
it's true. i've never seen anybody clean a rail thier first time ever doing rails, you always fall. but if you dont fall then you aren't skiing now are you?
It is completely true that if you don't commit you will fall. Look all the way to the end of the rail and keep your knees bent and arms down to stay balanced. Speed is your friend.
You got that right...Expect to fall. It really doesnt hurt that bad. SO dont be a tool! Just go for it and eventually you will get the feel for it. Patience young grasshopper!
last year i did like 4 rails and sucked ass at them. this year after reading to COMMIT, i hit a 6" wide flat down box, first rail of the season, and stomped it. you just need to say to yourself "im gonna stomp this shit and its gonna work" if you think you're gonna pussy out, then you probably will.
