I peeled off the entire topsheet on my invaders. They peeled off like nothing. Today we'll see if they hold up without it. I think they will.

I bet in 3 days they'll either magically dissentigrate or spontaneously combust while he's skiing. Show some pictures and maybe people won't think you're full of shit.

it peeled off really easily too from the tip and tail of the ski. it was tougher in the middle and the edges.

You should probably get those waranteed instead of skiing on them.

i plan to if all the color and paint comes off. they feel pretty durable thought. hard to scratch, etc.

i wonder what they would say if you sent them back in like that, lol. the only problem i see with that is that if you take a shot or two, there's a chance you get a chunk taken out of the ski core, which probably isn't good for the skis.

if you hit something hard, like a rock? or if you band them around, hit your skis together, use your imagination ....

yeah but that kind of stuff would happen with the top sheet on, so either way im getting doubled over.

yeah, i know, i'm just saying that top sheet is just another layer of protection from scratches and nicks.....but it doesn't affect the performance of the skis at all.....which is why i am so surprised to see so many threads condemming the invaders because of the topsheets. if you want your skis to look brand new all year long, don't ski. keep them inside and play with yourself. it's not a big deal.

yeah smith thats what you really have to do...tear the plastic coating off because its not like it really helps anyways...my friend does it when it comes up and its fine

That doesnt mean the topsheet is gone. It's just a thin layer affected by the dying process. You kids need to learn what delamination means. Those are most definitely not delamed.

then what would that sheet be called?

try to take fiberglass sheeting and fiberglass the top of the ski using clear fiberglass. that way it would be protected from water and like a boat u have to hit a rock pretty dam hard to make it crack. just do some tests to make sure it bends right. but u should do it.

Why not just return them under warenty and get another pair. It's going to be funny when you return your torn apart invaders and ask for a warenty and they laugh at you.

ugh, they aleady have glass on um. and if you pulled the entire topsheet off, i have a hard time beleiveing the graphics, which are printed on the topsheet, not the core, would still be entirely intact. either way, your stupid for doing it, cause its gonna splinter and shit, and soon enough your gonna get water in the core and ruin those skis.
and yeah, delam, is where the glass sepperates from the core, a chunk of topsheet peeling isnt delam, its calle use.

send it in for warranty through your shop and maybe if you are lucky they will give you one off their wall, so that you are not out of luck.

it will probably do the same. kus they all use the same matte duraclear shit on the top

I would continue to send them in until I got a ski that did not do it, and if that meant that I sent in 5 pairs till the 06-07's came out, then so be it.
The bottom line is that that should not happen!
Send them in as many times as it takes to send a message to LINE that they need to figure it out over there in China.
