elan amps

I got a pair of Elan Amps from skicompany this year because I broke thepair of elans i had last year. Am I the only person on the planet with these skis? I have never seen another pair in all my travels. There urban camo so they're easy to spot out.

I saw a pair at the snowshow in Vancouver, the rep said that they had a wood core with the grain running vertically, so they were super strong. Interesting concept, how do they ski??

i hear they are getting better...and better...and better...they just have a bad wrap becuase their product sucked shit a year or two back...hm, sounds like some other booming freeride company...line maybe?

They ride really smooth and They seem to be holding up to everything I've been able to throw at em they seem like all around good ski's I just wonder why nobody has em

maybe i'm wrong about these ones then... all i know is that all other elans were soft... broke easy, and they made no money off em. At least line's didn't break nearly as easy (although very soft) and line made tons of money too.

HAHAHA, that's the funniest thing I have ever heard! and you imply that elan didn't make money off of their twins? who the hell cares? elan has more money than line will ever see...there is this one aspect of skiing called 'racing' that tends to gross a lot of profits and elan happens to be in that game.

oh ya racing, i heard of that...i skied the elan airt twists 3 seasons ago as my first twin and they broke realy fast, simple 180 tail mabe 35 foot table and they snap on a slightly off centre landing, im not saying elan is bad but i dont trust their products anymore, mabe they have gotten better but i still wouldent risk buying their skis again till i know for sure that the skis are quality...

yeah the elan air twists are the skis i had last year that broke, the tips cracked and started to delaminate. Is there anybody who actualy owns a pair of amps?

I have used them and they do ride really sweet but there heavy as fuck. When you go off a hit with them it feels like you have bricks on your feet.

Yeah they are mad heavy but I've had 4 pairs of skis break on me in the last 5 years so i'm willing to give up a little weight for durability.
I walk around on the tips every time i'm in the lift lineand I havn't seen any stress marks yet.
