i know theres been threads on her, but if shes what she says she is, she is honestly my dream chick, like i'd like to hang with her heaps and shit, if she does write her music, it is punk. but i dunno you can never trust the pop culture these days.

Personally, I think pop is one of the best parts of the entire music industry. It gives ideals and ideological figures for the youth of today. Sure they come and go quicker than the next flight to Hawaii but that's what they do, bring in a fad, and leave, take Britney, the Spice Girls, Bardot, etc etc. They've all had good messages and been heroes for a lot of people.

In a way they are more original than punk ever has been. People who call themselves 'punk' are all the same. This defies the meaning of the movement. What's original in being the same as other people. Nothing. Remember, you're special and original, just like every other person.

And Avril comes across as too Gothic for me, sure she's attractive but I wouldn't go for her. I've picked up hotter chicks in dance clubs and bars.

But yeah John, go nuts, massive big props if you get her, haha.

By the way, Lagwagon is one of my favorite bands too. Word up.

i think that the term punk rock should only be used when refering to actual punk rock bands. like the casualties, or any other band who resides in the gutter. if they dont live in the gutter, or if they make enough money to not live in the gutter, i contend that they are not punk rock. also if they sound like they know more than 3 or 4 chords than they should not be considered in the aforementioned category. because if they actualy cared about their music, than how punk rock would that be?
