Jan 8th-14th i'll be in tremblant skiing. whats the deal with the strike, the weather, the price of things, the people, the mtn, the terrain parks, the herbs, the beer etc. etc...
yeah me and my two cousins will be there too that week, at least there will be no crowds if the strike doesn't end! and even if 35 runs is all they have those are twice as long as at blue- so i'll still have a good time i'm sure.
tremblant is pretty sweet i was there last spring break. Go to yahoooooooo pizza if its open, its a pretty sweet pizzza place. dont buy very much stuff they give terrible prices.
If the strike does not end I don't know how much fun you will really have. Right now management are working the lifts and shit and even though there are not as many people as usual, the lines are still huge. A friend who was up 2 weeks after the strike started said he waited in excess of 2 hours to get up the mountain. They are even asking certain season pass holders to avoid going up if they can to aleviate the stress on the system. If possible I would recommend skiing another hill instead (Mont Blanc, St-Sauveur). But only if the strike is still on by then, if not, then go wild.
i go there every year.....and the weather is very unpredictable, last year i skied in a Tee shirt, but the year before...i was frozen to the bone. As far as weed is concered....hard to find....but booze...bootleggers are always around.
