what are the most durable twins? i've heard that the madtrix are pretty bomber, any others?

(sorry if there's already been a thread on this, but i checked and there doesn't seem to be...)

im with skibum.....2 sheets of steel, 1 wood, steel mesh in the sidewall, designed by mcconkey....yet still the thinnest twin out....beats any of that foam core shit thats been mentioned.

Yeah, not sure what Volkl uses for core, but Rossi and the 1080s have that stupid foam-core shit. Thats what both the Spaceframe and the THC core are made of. The foam is anything but bombproof, after a couple of seasons it will just crumble. Find any ski with wood cores, the mad trix are good solid skis, and the same with Line. Go with wood, and a good warranty always helps. Thats why i ride Lines!

If you mean that by not breaking under flex, the Line 1260s can be flatten out, bent into a C and snapped around and not get any stress marks or anything. They don't feel soft when riding them either.

my concepts have presure cracks all over them after a few months of skiing on them. but other than that they have been solid.

yeah but the PE's are awesome... that pealing is only cuz of scraping them with your edges... by teh way the edges of the PEs and the pistols are twice as thick as normal edges for durability.
Also... the Scratches are supposed to be pretty durable (with the rubber top sheet that is. And the PE's have a wood core for those who are interested. Oh and by the way... 1260s and almost all lines for that matter are hella soft... whoever said they feel stiff when riding but can bend in a C must be 108 lbs or sumthin'

public enemies- pep rode them and couldn't break em, and he had them for quite a while

armadas- boronowski had the same test pair and couldn't break them

Im actually 135 which is a normal weight, and my blue 1260s feel pretty solid once you have some speed going. I will admit they are kinda soft and I can feel the flex when I land, but they are fine if you know how to properly land.

my v-pros have a good 55 days of skiing on them, lotsa rails recently and many hard landings on ice. holding up just fine, much longer than any other ski I've used (concept, yeller 1080, machete).
