I can't decide which skis to get. I like to ski everywhere and I want a ski that can do everything. I have Flites right now and I love them but they are on their last leg thanks to me tagging a rock the other day. I'm tempted to get another pair of flites just because I like them so much but I've heard that the Prophets are a little better on hardpack and they also have the fatty edge and base which I like. So does anyone have experience with both skis and what do you think of them.

2 reason you should get the moships.
1 - if you like them, stay with them
2 - the prophet is too much of a backcountry ski in my opinion. if you ski resorts alot then its not worth it. i know that the 100's are scaled down, but there still big.

I have a friend who rides pollards in the park and loves them, says he feels so good on them in the park.

I agree with that the 100's are too big for your typical little bit of everything skier, but on the otherhand the motherships are completely redesigned so they are in reality a whole 'nother ski then you might expect.

i havent ridden either of these skis but i flexed the mo ships in the store and they were waaaaaaaayyyyyy flexible like crazyness so i dont know if that affects your decision or not i guess it depends on what you will be riding more this winter

I thought the Mo's were unchanged this year besides the topsheet.

Nah, coincidentally I was watching the ski description vids on their site right before I posted in this thread. They said they completely redesigned the mothership.

Yeah I think they put a different core in it but they definatley added the carbon ollie band for lighter weight and more pop.

^Actually those are the changes made from the Mothership Flite to the Mothership Ti which was done last year when the Flite was introduced. So yeah I'm pretty sure it's the same ski this year. But back to the question at hand, which skis should I get.

ive got this yrs flites in a 182 and i LOVE them. they hold an edge really well, they are sooo light, really poppy very fast, very stable in and out of the park. soft in the tips for butters and messin around, but stiffer in the tails for bif llandings/speed runs

Prophets are more for riding not tricking, I suppose if you want to throw down some tricks pick up the moships.

depends how hard you ride and push turns. in my opinion, stiffer is nicer for big mountain and techincal stuff. therefore the prophet. line mothershisp are soft, a good turner, and nice all around ski. depends on your riding.
