the 10 day finally looks promising. 9 out of the next 10 days have snow. not rain snow. as in normal snow levels...snow not rain. yes snow. hooray and merry Christmas
yeah not the best powder, but if you find the windloaded areas it's pretty good there. Today was definately the most crowded day I have ever seen at Alpine. It was a fucking gaper fest and it took forever just to get to Alpine on highway 89. hopefully this next storm will scare the crowds out.
Kirkwood was sick on top with soft snow for nice drops. Got tracked out by 10ish because there were somany people there that they had them parked all the way to the Kirkwood Inn, near Caples lake.
after new years when families arent off from work and school it will start to die down. you dont know gaper fest untill youve skied mountain creek on chirstmas week, i have never seen so many people skiing in jeans in my life!!!!!!!
ya i noticed that too...when i was leaving there were hella people trying to find spots cause everything was filled. hella long lift lines too...first time ive ever had to wait in a real one at alpine. but it was still a good day overall...minus not being able to feel my feet. hey jex...were you skiing with nick. there were a few guys but i didnt know who they were. i wish i coulda skid with ya but my feet were killer and i couldnt last more than 3 runs at a time before takin the boots off. hiking beaver wouldve been torture. i was the guy with the vcts'
ya...my feet were in crazy pain...only got two more runs out of em and hit the road. next time im up we'll ride. it was cool to finally see some people from here up there
ya...they were alright cept the shell of the boot was pressin against the top of my instep and cutting off circulation. i couldnt even feel my feet after two runs...going to get the boot grinded down tomorrow and i should be cool
wasn't me....I missed them cause I got such a late start due to the crowds and a long night last night. I was there riding with a bunch of boaders. Bummer on the boots bro. I had the same problem....get them pounded out, thats what saved me, your local shop can do that. Just tell them where it hurts and they'll bang out the tight spots.
