Okay heres my situation. I am supposed to be ordering some skis from a guy thats gonna give me nice prices, but i have a upcoming trip that gonna be before i can order them. I live in virginia and i called my shops and they don't rent twintip skis. what is the best replacement ski i can use. any skis with the smallest raised tip will help. I know rossie has the socalled T2 concept on its rpm skis with 18or 19mm turned up. and after looking at volkl online i noticed i saw what appeared to be a small raised tail on certain skis. the crappy shops i do have access 2 have demos for those 2 companies and others. name other stuff that will help me out. I refuse to rent the skiboards they have lol. I tried it and i am not doing it again. if a small small raised tail is not available, just a light ski i can do non switch tricks on will help 2. Thanks alot. just a struggling skier from Va, where nonbody knows of twintips forreal foreal.

The Rossi Bandit XX (75mm waist) has a 20mm T2. The Rossi Rebel X (70mm waist) has a 30mm T2. Those would be your best bets.

Twin tips handle pretty much the same as other skis its just easier to ride fakie. Youl find that any ski with a slightly raised tip will do for a demo just keep in mind that the twin will be ten times better.

PJ: Actually, twins ski shorter than non-twin skis, due to the loss of running surface the raised tip creates (i.e. the 190 Mad Trix will ski like a non-twin in a length of ~186 or so). Also, since so few twins are designed for all-mountain riding, you will find them to be softer flexing than many non-twins. That is part of the reason behind stiff 'twins' such as the Enemy/Piste Pipe, Rebel X, and Bandit/Ruckit.

Va sux :( well i called my local shops, one does not even demo and the other does, well i am gonna have to just be brave and try the 177 volkl g3. Im 5'6' but it won't be 2 bad, at least they have something, i refuse to go skiboarding again cause at the end of the day, last time, i just ended up hating VA lol. but i don't need switch, i only rode it last, time ill just wait till i get my stuff lata and work on switch tricks, just gonna be airing on the nontwins, noone will even care, last time i was on skiboards people mouths dropped cause i rode switch near the lift line( i was showing off cause i knew they would be like man hes good) and i really suck, thanks anyway for recommending the g3, i use that
